Welcome!
I am a writer, and I like to write best for children. Perhaps I
never grew up.
My curiosity led me into the world of science. I will always be a scientist, questioning how things
work and delighting in the answers. Now, I enjoy learning and sharing what I know with kids and writing the
stories that have been brewing in my head for years.
I live in Redmond, WA. with my husband, two children,
two cats, one dog, and an assortment of insects.
Sometimes, they appear in my stories.
Find out more about me,
my stories and books.
I also keep a
blog
where I ruminate about reading, writing and life. Feel free to
contact me. I enjoy
doing writing and science workshops with children and adults. I also
teach at the
Institute of Children's Literature
(ICL).
Kids, I
have a special page just for you.
Thank you for visiting my website. Check back often for news and
stories.
