Welcome!

I am a writer, and I like to write best for children.  Perhaps I never grew up.

My curiosity led me into the world of science.  I will always be a scientist, questioning how things work and delighting in the answers.  Now, I enjoy learning and sharing what I know with kids and writing the stories that have been brewing in my head for years.

I live in Redmond, WA. with my husband, two children, and two cats.  Sometimes, they appear in my stories.

Find out more about me, my stories and books.  I also keep a blog where I ruminate about reading, writing and occasionally arithmetic.  Feel free to contact me.  I enjoy doing writing and science workshops with children and adults.  I also teach at the Institute of Children's Literature.

Kids, I have a special page just for you.

Thank you for visiting my website.  Check back often for news and stories.                                                       Vijaya
