Make Your Own Compost

Take a large bucket and keep it outside.  Throw kitchen scraps in there -- banana peels, orange rinds, egg-shells, stale bread, etc.  Make sure you don't add meat or bones.  You can add grass clippings and dried leaves to your bucket.  Once a week, turn the compost over.

Worms, bugs and tiny living creatures, like bacteria and fungi turn the compost into beautiful, lumpy dirt.  In a few months, you can add this rich dirt to your garden or your potted plants.  And your plants will say, "Thank you!"
