MAKE YOUR OWN SERVING OF ICE CREAM WITH A FRIEND

In one small (quart size) Ziploc bag, add:

    1 teaspoon sugar

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla

    1/2 cup milk

Close the Ziploc bag.

In one large (gallon size) Ziploc bag, add in the following order:

    4 cups crushed ice

    4 tablespoons of salt

Small Ziploc bag containing milk, sugar and vanilla -- MAKE SURE IT IS CLOSED.

    4 cups crushed ice

    4 tablespoons salt

Close the large Ziploc bag.

Shake for 10-15 minutes.

Or toss it back and forth with a friend.

Ice cream is ready!

If not, then shake the bag vigorously again.

Enjoy plain or with chocolate or raspberry syrup on top.

To know why this works, read Salty Magic.

A slightly different version was first published in July/August 2005 issue of Wee Ones Magazine.
